Gozo is especially known for its amazing and uncommon red-orange sandy beaches and blue clear waters like in Ramla l-Ħamra Beach, which means the “Red Beach” in Maltese. Ramla Bay is Gozo’s finest and largest sandy beach, where snorkeling, diving, swimming or just sunbathing are a real pleasure.
On the western corner of the beach, you will find Calypso’s Cave, from where you can enjoy the splendid panorama of Ramla Bay that this site will offer you.
Moreover, the island abounds with more beautiful beaches. If you are looking for a peaceful and pretty beach, San Blas Bay will totally please you. Its rocky cliffs are also ideal for snorkeling as the cliff sides are teaming with underwater life.
In the south of the island, you can find Ħondoq ir-Rummien, which is one of the loveliest beaches in Gozo. This beach offers an incredible view on Comino and great azure waters. No buses will take you there though, so you will have to find another way to discover this pretty beach.
Marsalforn Bay is also a place to think about when planning a trip to Gozo. This very popular site is the largest seaside resort of the island. Compared to the other beaches of Gozo, Marsalforn is quite developed. The beach offers a wide range of restaurants, bars and hotels, as well as water sports and boat trips, making it a mecca during the summer months.
